GB News' Wales reporter, Lily Hewitson, was blown over by strong winds in Storm Eunice while she reported live from Barry Island on Friday.
Storm Eunice raged as Lily Hewitson bravely updated viewers on the weather in Wales and how travel has been impacted.
As the wind battered Barry Island, GB News' Wales reporter was blown off her feet.
Lily Hewitson said: "There were about 6,000 homes without power here in Wales but in the last hour that has doubled."
Traffic Wales, the Welsh Government’s traffic information service for motorways and trunk roads, warned that “many HGVs are ignoring the safety advice on Britannia Bridge”.
The bridge, which connects the island of Anglesey with mainland Wales, is closed to all traffic except cars and car-derived vans.
A rare “do not travel” alert was issued across railways in England and Wales, as seven operators suspended all services, with footage showing a building roof being blown on to tracks.
More than 430 flights due to take off or land at UK airports were cancelled on Friday.
Both the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge and the M48 Severn Bridge, which link England and Wales across the River Severn, were closed due to high winds.
It is believed to be the first time both crossings have been closed simultaneously.
In the Welsh capital, an inflatable sports dome has been destroyed by Storm Eunice.
Footage posted on social media showed the air dome at the Cardiff International Sports Campus in the Leckwith area of the city collapsed and flapping in the wind.
The air dome, which was opened in 2017, is similar to those in use at Chelsea and Ajax football clubs.
Cardiff City House of Sport, which is affiliated to Cardiff City FC, said: “Unfortunately due to damage sustained by Storm Eunice, the air dome at the Cardiff International Sports Campus is completely out of action for the foreseeable future.
“All bookings were cancelled today, and nobody was in the vicinity of the dome when the damage occurred.
“We will update everyone as we find out news on the repair progress.”
