A fish and chip shop in Kent has gone viral after serving up salad with traditional favourites.

A video of the combo being served up has been viewed an incredible 3.9million times by users on the social network.

The clip shows plates being loaded up with the traditional combination, in a moment that has garnered over 117,000 likes.

The cause of debate is the fact that the plate had already been preloaded with salad, made up of lettuce, cucumber, red onion, tomato and a slice of lemon.

The most-liked comment says: "Erm, is anyone going to mention it... who has salad with fish and chips?"

Another user added: "I'd rather have mushy peas with my fish and chips".

Despite the criticism, other users have leapt to the defence of the fish and chip establishment.

One user said: "Don't get the haters, that looks so GOOD".

Some users have gone so far as to ask for the address of the shop, in the hope of trying a portion themselves.
