The Euro 2020 final takes place at 8pm on Sunday 11th July

The Euro 2020 final takes place at 8pm on Sunday 11th July, it is being shown on BBC One and ITV. You can also watch it online for free on the BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub.

Since the 1998 World Cup in France, England have won only five matches (in normal time) out of 24 matches broadcast on ITV, losing eight times, however a 1-0 win over the Czech Republic in the group stage of Euro 2020 accounts for one of those victories.

England are yet to concede a goal in the tournament and, having dispatched Germany in the last-16 and Ukraine in the quarter-finals, hopes are high heading into Wednesday evening’s clash against the Danes at Wembley.

After Italy beat Spain 4-2 in penalties, they will face whoever wins between England and Denmark.

Former England right-back Gary Neville fears England will become “nearly men” if they lose a second successive semi-final as he urged Gareth Southgate’s side to seize their opportunity in their Euro 2020 showdown against Denmark.

Former England manager Roy Hodgson believes Gareth Southgate’s side have been “absolutely perfect” during Euro 2020.

Hodgson, 73, who spent four years in charge of the national team until 2016, said he expected England to beat Denmark in Wednesday night’s semi-final at Wembley.

Former Denmark goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel shared a photo of himself and his son Kasper – now the national team’s number one – as a child. He tweeted: “So excited for tonight. Come on Denmark.”

On Wednesday morning the girl group Atomic Kitten were joined by a brass band to perform their revamped version of Whole Again ahead of England’s semi-final against Denmark, Southgate You’re The One.
