A man has been shot dead and two others including a passing cyclist have been injured in north London.

The Metropolitan Police said a man in his early 20s was shot dead in Green Lanes, close to the junction with West Green Road, Edmonton, at just after 10.30pm on Tuesday.


Officers including armed police were called to the scene along with paramedics and an air ambulance team but the victim was pronounced dead less than half an hour later.

Police are in the process of informing his family.

The other two victims are a 24-year-old man who took himself to hospital after suffering gunshot wounds, and a second man in his 20s who was hit as he was cycling past the scene.

He went home after being shot but was later taken to hospital by ambulance.

Neither of the two men suffering life-threatening injuries.
