Donald Trump also seemingly aimed a dig at current President Joe Biden during a conference in Texas

Donald Trump has said he’s the “healthiest President that’s ever lived” after strongly hinting that that he’s preparing to run for office.

Mr Trump has been reportedly readying his campaign ahead of the 2024 election.

And speaking at a Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas, Mr Trump dropped arguably his strongest hint yet that he’d be putting his name in the race.

During his speech, Mr Trump said that ex-White House doctor Ronny Jackson “loved” looking at his body.

While he also said that Mr Jackson told Mr Trump that he was “the healthiest President that’s ever lived".

Mr Trump was then asked when people can expect a formal announcement about his running.

To which he replied: “It’s certainly not a very long period, the time is coming. I think people are going to be very happy, our country has never been in a position like this, we’ve lost everything.”

The former US President then spoke about the US’s withdrawal from Afghanistan in an apparent dig at Joe Biden.

He continued: Our country has never been at a worse point. They gave away $85 billion worth of equipment, dead soldiers, you still have Americans over there probably as hostages, eventually will be hostages, there has never been a time like this.

“We’ll be making an announcement in the not too distant future.”
