Lilico correctly predicted last year's winter surge in cases, hospitalisations, and deaths

Discussing the Government's winter toolbox of Covid measures, Economist Andrew Lilico told GB News he believes that modelers have become too nervous in their predictions.

Lilico, who correctly predicted last year's winter surge in cases, hospitalisations, and deaths says that we are unlikely to see a similar one this winter and that the epidemic has 'de facto ended' in England.

When asked why modelers are being overly cautious, Lilico said "There's probably some bit of trying to anticipate how the policy makers are going to use their scenarios built in."
