Car smashes into Birmingham pub leaving two in hospital
The incident took place shortly after 12.30am on Tuesday
Two people have been hospitalised after a car smashed into the side of a pub, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The collision, which demolished a wall, occurred at Shannon's Pub, which was closed at the time.
The Fiat 500 hatchback ploughed its bonnet into the front of the pub, knocking down part of a wall and smashing a plate glass window.

Emergency services attended the scene in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, assessing the minor injuries of two women who were inside the vehicle at the time.
The Fire Service from Highgate, West Midlands, posted photos of the incident on Twitter, saying:
"We often attend incidents where a slight change in circumstances such as direction or time, could’ve resulted in tragedy.
“This #RTC in #BordesleyGreen today was one of those.
“Luckily, the pub was closed and the two women from the car suffered only minor injuries.”
A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics treated two women for minor injuries, before they were taken to hospital for further checks.
