She told GB News viewers she thought she was 'a common sense person' but criticised the case of swimmer Lia Thomas

Speaking exclusively to GB News, Caitlyn Jenner has told Dan Wootton that "I feel like I’m on the right side… and I stand on my position when it comes to trans athletes."

She told GB News viewers she thought she was "a common sense person" but criticised the case of Lia Thomas, who Caitlyn said is "beating the women by two laps" adding that the trans swimmer "was on the mens team" only a few years ago.

Caitlyn said the National Collegiate Athletic Association has "kicked the bucket down the road" and needed to change the rules on competitors.

"I am firmly behind protecting women's sports, we cannot have biological boys competing against women in women's sports... We need a fair playing field. And right now, if we allow this, it's not a fair playing field", she told viewers.

She also discussed US politics and how her family felt when she ran for Governor, telling viewers: "‘I spent six months just trying to get the attention of the people of California and do you know what we’re losing California, 18,000 companies have left."
