A British woman has reportedly been raped on the Greek island of Corfu.

The tourist is said to have turned up to report the crime at a local police station on Sunday in a “bad condition”.

After giving a description of a man to officers, a 40-year-old was later arrested, according to local media.

The man reportedly denies rape, saying he had consensual sexual intercourse with the woman.

He remains in custody as forensic examinations are being carried out, according to reports.
