A British woman has died after a speedboat crashed in front of horrified tourists at a popular beach resort.
The 45-year-old woman was on a speedboat when it hit a water taxi off the coast of Marmaris in Turkey.
Local news reports that coastguard teams were called to around 1.30pm on Thursday but pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Her husband is reported to be intensive care in hospital.

The coastguard has launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred in front of a five star hotel.
A 44-year-old holidaymaker who saw the incident told The Sun: “It was an awful crash and a lot of the people who saw it were wandering around in shock.
“Some of the injured were in a terrible state and the dead lady was brought ashore in a body bag - she clearly had no chance.
“The sea was a bit chaotic with so many speedboats and para-sailing boats roaring around but no one ever expected this.
“There’s was a rumour that one of the drivers wasn’t concentrating and was fixing his hair when the crash happened - but the police aren’t confirming anything.”
The coastguard also told the paper they expected the husband to recover.
The Foreign Office said three Britons were taken to hospital following the incident.
Footage from the Turkish Demiroren News Agency showed two boats colliding close to the shore. Onlookers could then be seen rushing to help.
A Foreign Office spokesman added: “We are providing consular assistance after the death of a British woman and hospitalisation of three British nationals in Turkey, and are in contact with the local authorities.”
