The anonymous winner is now one of the richest people in the UK

A British lottery-player has claimed the whopping £109.9million EuroMillions jackpot, Camelot has said.

The player got all five EuroMillions numbers - 03, 25, 38, 43, 49 - as well as the two lucky stars - 03 and 07.

The winner, that claimed the February 4 draw, is not publicly disclosing any more information at present.

"We're absolutely delighted that the winner of this amazing EuroMillions jackpot prize has come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win", said Andy Carter, Camelot senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery.

The UK's biggest ever win was in October 2019, when one anonymous ticket-holder landed an eye-watering £170 million.

During the pandemic, a key worker claimed an £1million win.

Anthony Canty, 33, from Maldon, initially thought he'd scooped £100,000 on the EuroMillions in May 2020.

However, after ringing his partner, Katie Sullivan, 32, he realised he'd won a nine-figure sum.

"You div, it's one million, we're millionaires, you have to come home!", she told him.

The previous year, Ade Goodchild won £71million on the EuroMillions.

"Anybody I think I couldn't have pulled before has got no chance, because I haven't suddenly become more attractive overnight - just my wallet has", the Hereford factory worker told a press conference after his win.

"I take people as I find them but like I say, I'm not a stupid man.

"I have done stupid things, luckily I've learned from them."

He added: "I’m not one of these winners who is going to say this win won’t change me. It bloody well will or at least I’ll give it a damn good go.

"I put my glasses on to double check and then spotted that it was the jackpot prize and that all my numbers were circled. I thought wow, a lot of people have shared the jackpot this week but fair play.

"Then I read the prize amount again and realised that it was actually £71 million and just one winner - me. It was then that I called my mum and dad. Their reaction was one of complete shock – I still don’t think it’s sunk in for them."
