GB News presenter Nigel Farage was addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference in the USA

GB News presenter Nigel Farage says if the UK doesn’t intervene in the Ukraine-Russia conflict there will be “disastrous consequences”.

He told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in America that China will take advantage of the West’s “weakness” and claim Taiwan.

The host referenced the USA’s involvement in World War One and Two saying the country and President Joe Biden needs to “send a message” to Russian leader Vladimir Putin and to help Europe again.

Nigel said: “What Putin has done is truly dreadful. It is dangerous and it is frightening.

“America and Britain need to send that message – no further can he be allowed to go.

“Because if we don’t, we’ll face an even bigger threat. Don’t think Putin is the biggest threat we face.”

He went on to say “if China sees how weak we are” it will take Taiwan.

The former politician closed Friday’s CPAC speakers’ schedule in Orlando.

Tomorrow President Donald Trump will take to the stage.

It is expected he will strongly hint he will run for president again in 2024.

He was defeated by current premier Joe Biden in 2020.

In response to being asked if he would run in two years time, Mr Trump told Farage on GB News in 2021: “If you love the country you have no choice - it’s not a question.”

As part of his 16-minute speech, Mr Farage also slammed Canada leader Justin Trudeau’s handling of Covid and backed the US’ Republican Party to retake power in upcoming mid-term elections and the 2024 presidential ballot.

He also encouraged Mr Trump and his fellow party members to stop claiming the 2020 election was rigged.
