Boris Johnson receives £1MILLION in largest ever donation to an MP in latest sign he's plotting comeback

Boris Johnson has been rumoured to be considering a bid to take back the keys to Downing Street
Boris Johnson has received the largest ever single political donation recorded in British history, amid rumours that he will make a bid to return as prime minister.
The former Conservative leader, who was forced to resign last summer, received £1million from a Tory donor.
He recorded the donation from Christopher Harborne to the Office of Boris Johnson Ltd in the latest update to the MPs’ Register of Interests.
Harborne donated £6million to the Brexit Party before the 2019 general election.

According to the parliamentary declarations, Johnson has been continuing to live at a property linked to wealthy Tory donor Lord Bamford.
He declared the “use of accommodation for me and my family from December 2022 to January 2023 at an estimated value of £10,000”, provided by Lord Anthony and Lady Carole Bamford.
Since leaving office last September, Johnson has declared more than £1million in speaking fees.
In December, he recorded around £300,000 for two separate speeches.
The donation could be an indication that Johnson is set to make an attempt to return to office after a tumultuous year for the Conservative Party.
Exclusive GB News polling showed that Rishi Sunak has been hit by poll results showing support for the Conservative Party has slumped to an all time low.
The poll saw 48 per cent of those surveyed say they would vote Labour - which is up 2 per cent on last week.

Last week, former Chief Whip Mark Spencer said people should “never write off” Boris when asked if we were likely to see him in frontline politics again.
Spencer told GB News: “You should never write Boris Johnson off. Because if you look back, everybody said he could never become Mayor of London, and he did it.
“And then they said, ‘Well you'll never get re-elected. Look at the polls, the polls are telling you you’ll never get re-elected’. And he did it. ‘Well, you'll never solve Brexit Boris. The Theresa May government was completely paralysed.
There's nothing you can do, Boris, to solve this problem.’ And he did it. You know, I think you write Boris Johnson off at your peril. He's a hugely, hugely talented politician.”
