Birmingham New Street chaos as fire causes 'significant delays'

No trains are running between Rugeley Trent Valley and Staffordshire, after a fire broke out near the line at Rugeley, according to Birmingham New Street on twitter.

The midlands station, which is owned by Network Rail, tweeted: "A fire near the line at #Rugeley is causing significant delays

"No trains are able to run between Rugeley Trent Valley and #Staffordshire

"Please check before you travel."

According to Network Rail's website, there is severe disruption expected at Rugeley Trent Valley station until 7pm.
