Andrew Tate latest: Police seize 15 luxury cars and 10 houses ahead of court hearing

Andrew Tate is to appear in court following his arrest in Romania
Romanian authorities have seized a total of 15 cars and more than ten properties or land owned by Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan ahead of a court appearance next week.
The controversial online influencer, who has been banned from several social media platforms for misogynistic comments and hate speech, was arrested alongside his brother last week as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation.
On Friday, prosecutors said they had seized another four vehicles on Thursday after 11 cars were taken in previous raids.

Officials say at least seven of the cars are registered to the Tate brothers.
Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (Diicot), said more than 10 properties or land registered to the duo have also been seized which would be used to pay for the investigation and pay damages to victims if they are convicted.
Last week the agency released a statement, but did not name the Tate brothers, saying two British citizens and two Romanians were suspected of being part of a criminal group focused on human trafficking.
The brothers have been under investigation in Romania since April last year and were arrested in Bucharest on December 29 on charges of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.
Following their arrest, the brothers are expected to appear in a Bucharest court next week to have their appeals heard against a judge’s decision to extend their arrest warrants from 24 hours to 30 days.

It is also expected that the pair will appeal against the seizure of some of their belongings.
Tate appeared in court to deny the accusations.
Six injured people have been identified in relation to the investigation, with one said to have been violently sexually assaulted in March, according to Diicot.
