Nigel Farage and Paul Embery discussed the EU's Ursula von der Leyen's remarks saying she wants Italy to win the Euro 2020 final against England.
On The Political Correction, Farage said he "didn't want to bring Brexit into it, believe me, but it can't be helped because Ursula von der Leyen and other European commissioners are making it absolutely clear they want Italy to win. They're telling us that the whole of Europe wants Italy to win.
"They can't bear the thought of Brexit, Britain succeeding. They didn't even like the fact that the Swiss had as good a run as they did."
Paul Embery voiced concern that politicians were using sport as a political tool.
"I'm always concerned when politics comes overtly into sport. I'm not saying there's there's never a place for politics in sport," he said, adding "I suspect that not a single England player is going to be bothered about what Ursula von der Leyen says."
