More than 65% of GB News viewers support a ban on boiling lobsters alive.

It comes as the government is reportedly drawing up plans to protect the welfare of crustaceans and molluscs, according to The Times.


At least 8,566 of you voted in our poll - with 66.7% supporting the proposed ban.

Currently, the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill, which is being passed through the House of Lords, only covers animals with a backbone.

An amendment is set to be attached to the legislation to include lobsters.

The practice is illegal in several countries, including Norway and Switzerland.

Campaigners are calling for lobsters to be killed with an electric gun to be stunned or frozen before they are killed.
